PASSIONE AUTOMOBILE is a site intended to celebrate Italian sports cars. Each week, PASSIONE AUTOMOBILE will publish an article that covers one beautiful moment in the history of the automobile, giving voice to those people that were its direct protagonists. You will find in our archive exclusive documents and historical pictures, which you will unlikely find somewhere else. That is precisely what we want to share with you as enthusiasts. We shall follow closely the main motoring events in Italy, we visit museums and collections, documenting all with detailed articles and high quality pictures. Finally, we will also occasionally go outside the Italian borders and cover other brands, manufacturers and events.

Roel: Roeland Frère, inseparable friend of Frank, came up with the idea to transform their love for cars into PASSIONE AUTOMOBILE. He lives in Turin. His photographic capabilities have greatly improved since 1986 when he first came to Modena with Frank and met Antonio.

Frank: Frank Cooreman handles the administrative part of the site and takes care of the translations. Modena has become a stage set in his travels. It seems furthermore that his photographic capabilities have also visibly improved.

Antonio: Antonio Ferroni, friend of Ferruccio Lamborghini, is the photographer of the group. He lives in Sant’Agata Bolognese, two steps from the factory of Lamborghini, and has worked for many years as photographer for various newspapers in Modena. His contribution to the automobile world in pictures is considerable: for example, his pictures were used to document two books on Lamborghini, “Lamborghini” and “Countach”, both written by Jean-Marc Borel, who later became the President of Bugatti International, and insisted by all means that Antonio became the official photographer of the reborn Bugatti and, later, of the Edonis.

Paul: Paul E. Frère, brother of Roel, is a recognized authority in the Belgian automobile world. He is a free-lance journalist since the 1980s, and many car manufacturers appreciate his opinion. He started in the 1990s to talk to the protagonists and to study the history of Italian car brands.
